An associate at Rankin & Gregory, LLC, with offices in Lancaster City, Rohrerstown, and Leola, PA, Gabe Griffith focuses his law practice on veterans’ disability benefits and social security disability cases. Gabe’s passion for advocating for people in need began to manifest during two mission trips with his church and other teen volunteer activities. After graduating high school, Gabe attended Pennsylvania State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in international politics and a minor in history.
After earning his bachelor’s degree, Gabe pursued a law degree at Widener University Delaware Law School. During law school, Gabe served as a Certified Legal Intern for Widener’s Criminal Defense Clinic and the Montgomery County Public Defender’s Office. While attending Widener, Gabe was committed to representing indigent clients in need of sound legal counsel.
It was during law school that Gabe first discovered his desire to fight for veterans through his free legal aid work at the Veterans Law Clinic. Here, Gabe conducted legal research, provided analyses on a wide variety of legal issues related to disability claims, and constantly worked one-on-one with clients. One of Gabe’s most notable achievements was earning clinic’s highest ever EAJA fee award for a client’s representation at the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. At the Veterans Law Clinic, Gabe witnessed the struggles that veterans experienced when seeking benefits through Veterans Affairs. He believes that there is something fundamentally wrong with a system that denies benefits to military heroes who have had life-altering injuries from service. Gabe prides himself on being able to fight for veterans to give back to service people who risked the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
Now making Lancaster, PA, his home, Gabe has become heavily involved with the local community. Recently, Gabe served as a scoring judge for the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Mock Trial competition through which high school students in Lancaster County had the opportunity to present a case before a judge and jury. He was thrilled to participate in providing legal experiences to young people so they, too, may be inspired to help fellow citizens.
Outside of the office, Gabe enjoys watching sporting events (like college football and soccer), attending live music events, reading, and enjoying time with his friends and family.
Gabe helps veterans and people with disabilities obtain the benefits they deserve through his zealous advocacy. Gabe believes that a denial of entitled benefits is a terrible wrong that must be righted. If you have been denied veterans or social security disability benefits, call 717.656.5000 and schedule a free consultation.
