More Texting Trouble

Texting is a blessing and a curse.  The liability of someone who causes a car accident while texting is clear cut.  In fact, you may be able to get punitive damages designed to punish the driver distracted by texting.  Pennsylvania law recently took a step further.  The Judge in a Lawrence County case ruled that an individual who texts someone that they know is driving, could be liable if the driver causes an accident while reading that text.  See Gallatin v. Gargiulo, et al., No. 10401 of 2015 (C.P. Lawrence 3/9/16).  The lawyers at Rankin & Gregory, Chad Rankin and Bill Gregory, are staying current with the laws surrounding texting to make sure that their clients have the best and most up to date representation in car accident cases.
