Rankin & Gregory Awards $5,000 in College Scholarships to Lancaster County PA High School Students
Students from Hempfield High School and Penn Manor Receive #RGInjuryLawCares College Scholarship Awards
Rankin & Gregory, LLC ~ RG Injury Law Awards Two $2,500 College Scholarships to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, 2021 High School Graduates
Attorneys Chad Rankin and William (Bill) Gregory, Partners and Cofounders of Rankin & Gregory, LLC (dba as RG Injury Law), are proud to present the firm’s annual #RGInjuryLawCares Scholarship Award to two deserving Lancaster County high school 2021 graduates.
The two $2,500 2020-21 scholarships were offered by Rankin & Gregory, LLC, to Lancaster County, PA, high school students pursuing higher education in fall 2021. Committed to supporting the central Pennsylvania community, the Lancaster injury lawyers plan to offer students scholarships annually. Attorney Bill Gregory said, “I was thrilled to select a student from Hempfield High School for one of our scholarship awards. We reviewed many impressive student applicants for the scholarship, and am thrilled to know there is such talent and community commitment from area students.”
Gordon (Gordy) Marcus Hoover, Jr., of Landisville, PA, is a 2021 Hempfield High School graduate was awarded #RGInjuryLaw Cares Scholarship for his powerful essay about defying assumptions, quiet leadership, and lifting up young athletes. Hoover is now a freshman who plays football at Stevenson University in Maryland. He is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business administration with the goal of working in sports marketing.
Mr. Hoover explained that the scholarship helps lessen the burden of college tuition, saying, ” I am so happy and grateful to have received a scholarship from the Rankin & Gregory law firm. It has helped me to purchase some of the supplies and books necessary to start my freshman year of college. Thank you for this opportunity to start my college career with ease.”
The second $2,500 2021-22 #RGInjuryLaw Cares Scholarship recipient is Kayleigh Ferko of Willow Street, PA, a freshman pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at West Chester School of Nursing in West Chester, PA. A 2021 graduate of Penn Manor High School, Kayleigh was awarded this scholarship for her desire to make a difference by caring for others. Ms. Ferko plans to also pursue a master’s degree in nursing to become a neonatal nurse practitioner.
“As a Penn Manor graduate myself, it is very special to be able to award this scholarship to Kayleigh as she has an exceptional commitment to caring for the Lancaster community,” shared Attorney Chad Rankin. He continued, “We are pleased to support Kayleigh’s educational goals to become a neonatal nurse because of the caring, hard working person she is.”
Ms. Ferko shared, “Receiving the Rankin & Gregory scholarship has been an honor. The scholarship has helped me in paying my tuition and school expenses while being in the Nursing program at West Chester University. I am very thankful for receiving the scholarship because it helped me to get closer to my life goal of becoming a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.”
